Doctor Strange (2016)

Synopsis:

Dr. Stephen Strange's life as a brilliant yet arrogant neurosurgeon drastically changes after a car accident that causes him to lose control of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he seeks out a Jonathon Pangborn, paraplegic who mysteriously regained control of his legs. Strange is directed to Kamar-Taj where he is taken in by Mordo, a sorcerer under the Ancient One. He quickly learns that the enclave is at the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying reality.

Review:

Created by Marvel, Doctor strange is a very unique character amongst the Marvel franchise because he is not a hero who is the product of high tech armour, he's not a god nor a space alien and he does not get his powers from gamma rays. Therefore creating a one of a kind character with a remarkably interesting story that is different from the other series introduced.

Doctor Strange really outdone itself with the outstanding visual effects to show the characters manipulating the world around them. The CG is beautiful throughout, with objects like buildings rotating, flipping and morphing around to change the world which surrounds the characters.

In regards to the story, at most it could be considered as generic as it starts with the protagonist stumbling into the world of magic and being tasked with stopping a group/organisation of people aiming to summon an otherworldly power to destroy the world.
